Northern Counties Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club Championship Show 2018
This show was very special to me being the 75th Anniversary show of the club that I have served on committee, carrying out various duties for 30 years. It was an honour and a privilege that will not be surpassed.
I would like to thank all who brought their dogs for my consideration including a large contingent from overseas. I had some dogs of the highest quality to go over, and you can be assured that my decisions were made honestly and without favour nor prejudice.
Finally, I would like to thank my ring stewards on the day who worked hard in assisting me and keeping the ring in order. A special thankyou to Mr Fred Jones who came all the way from Derry to steward for me.
I have asked the club to publish separately my statement regarding the awarding of the CC.

A lovely red puppy, stood out in his class he was a nice all round package, clean lips, correct bite, dark eye, near ear with a nice straight front level topline, good bend of stifle, well sprung rib, short coupled, moved and handled excellently.
2nd C & R Bergundthal – Decorvets
Just Kidding Beau Mec
He is a black brindle dog, bog standard puppy with everything in the right place. Strong head, correct bite, round dark eye, near ears, short in the back, strong rear end, level top line. This young fellow should have a great future ahead of him as he handled and moved excellently.

A black brindle dog with a lovely clean and overall look about him, he stood out for me in his class, a nice standard dog with a strong head, good bite, dark eyes, neat ears, good front, nice tight feet and short back. He had a good bend of stifle and moved and handled excellently.
2nd Mr B Blanch Calogne

A white dog with a black eye, an excellent example of a puppy dog, strong head, good bite, dark eyes, near ears, strong back end, level top line, well sprung rib, well put together all round. Any other time he could be in first place, Moved and handled well.

A black dog, stood out by miles in his class, an excellent dog and breed type, very nice head, clean lips, correct bite, dark eye, neat ears, excellent front and tight feet. Short back level, top good spring of rib, nice bend of stifle, couldn’t fault him anywhere. One I would like to take home, moved like a dream and handled excellently and that’s why I gave him the reserve CC.

A black dog, he stood out in his class, I’ve seen the dog many times but never put my hands on him. He’s a very good example of our breed, strong head, excellent bite, nice straight front, very tight feet, very short in the back, excellent spring of rib, ample back end with a good bend of stifle, overall a good standard dog. He was handled excellently and moved very well.

Now then, this dog stood out from the back bigtime, a proper Stafford in every way, what a head – fantastic expression, looks keen as mustard, clean lips, excellent bite, dark round eye, neatest of ears, powerful front, well boned, tight feet, short back, well sprung rib, well tucked up, excellent bend of stifle, very strong back end, he stood like he owned the ring. Moved excellent and handled perfectly, all round good example for our breed, hope he goes on as he pressed every button for me and that’s why he got the CC and went on to get Best of Breed.

A beautiful red dog, bang standard, really caught my eye again he stands out perfect in every way. Lovely expression, it was a pleasure to put my hands on him. Another dog that I would take home!
Strong head but not overdone in anyway, clean lips, correct bite, darkest of eyes, neatest of ears, excellent front, short in the back, good spring of rib and well tucked up. He was in excellent condition and handled and moved OK.

Moved better than a lot of the younger ones and handled perfectly.
